Doutora em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2015) na área de conhecimento em Engenharia Biomédica. Possui Mestrado em Ciências da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2001) na área de Sistemas do Conhecimento. Atualmente é Professora Doutora Categoria V da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC), em Criciúma-SC, onde atua como docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sistemas Produtivos, docente da especialização em Marketing, Branding e Experiência Digital e da especialização em Tecnologia, Ciência de Dados e Transformação Digital da Unesc Digital, docente do curso de Ciência da Computação e do ensino à distância em Análise e Desenvolvimento de Sistemas. Desde fevereiro de 2001 é professora da área de Ciências, Engenharias e Tecnologias da UNESC. Líder do Grupo em Inteligência Artificial Aplicada da UNESC, também participa de atividades de extensão na UNESC coordenando o projeto Informática para a Melhor Idade. Desde 2018 é Assessora da Diretoria de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação Stricto Sensu da UNESC. Atua nas áreas de Inteligência Artificial e Engenharia Biomédica, principalmente nas linhas de Ferramentas Inteligentes de Suporte à Decisão, Aprendizado de Máquina, Ciência de Dados, Engenharia e Gestão do Conhecimento.
PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2015) in the area of knowledge in Biomedical Engineering. Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2001) in the area of Knowledge Systems. She is currently a Category V Professor at the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC), in Criciúma-SC, where she is a permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Productive Systems, professor of the specialization in Marketing, Branding and Digital Experience and of the specialization in Technology, Data Science and Digital Transformation of Unesc Digital, professor of the Computer Science course and of distance learning in Systems Analysis and Development. Since February 2001 she has been a professor of Science, Engineering and Technology at UNESC. Leader of the Group in Applied Artificial Intelligence at UNESC, she also participates in extension activities at UNESC coordinating the Computer Science for the Best Age project. Since 2018 she is Advisor of Research and Post Graduation Departament at UNESC. She works in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Engineering, mainly in the lines of Intelligent Decision Support Tools, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering and Knowledge Management.
