Katia Aparecida Fonseca Normanton

Graduated in Bachelor and Degree in Physics by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1990), Master of Science - Nuclear Technology - Applications by the Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research (1997) and PhD in Sciences - Nuclear Technology - Applications by the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (2002).Currently Technologist in the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research acting as Supervisor of Radiation Protection in Research Reactors, Gamma Irradiaton Facilities, Electron Accelerators Facilities and Meter Nuclear, certified by CNEN.She has experience in the areas: Radiation Protection in Nuclear Facilities and Radiative, Radiological Emergency Service, Training on Radiation Protection - with emphasis on Radioactive Material Transport and Radiological Emergencies.Also served in Nuclear Physics, with emphasis on Nuclear and Radioactive Disintegration, on the following topics: standardization: I-126, Ir-192, I-152 and Re-186, of coincidences systems, measurement of absolute activity, measurement gamma intensity and taught nuclear physics training for training supervisors Radiation Protection.

Possui graduação em Bacharel e Licenciatura em Física pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1990), mestrado em Mestrado em Ciências - Tecnologia Nuclear - Aplicações pelo Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (1997) e doutorado em Doutorado em Ciências - Tecnologia Nuclear - Aplicações pelo Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (2002). Atualmente é Tecnologista do Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares atuando como Supervisora de Radioproteção em Reator Nuclear de Pesquisa, Irradiadores de Grande Porte, Aceleradores Lineares e Medidores Nucleares, certificada pela CNEN. Tem experiência nas áreas: Proteção Radiológica em Instalações Nucleares e Radiativas, Atendimento em Emergências Radiológicas, Treinamentos e Palestras em Radioproteção - com ênfase em Transporte de Material Radioativo e Emergências Radiológicas. Também já atuou na área de Física Nuclear, com ênfase em Desintegração Nuclear e Radioatividade, principalmente nos seguintes temas: padronização de: I-126, Ir-192, Eu-152 e Re-186, sistemas de coincidências, medida de atividade absoluta, medida de intensidade gama e ministrou treinamento de Física Nuclear para formação de Supervisores de Radioproteção.
