Gustavo de Oliveira Zamberlam

Dr. Zamberlam holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2007), a master's degree in Veterinary Medicine by an exchange program between the Federal University of Santa Maria-RS and the Université de Montréal (UdeM) in Canada (2009) and a PhD in Veterinary Medicine Sciences (option - reproduction) by the Center de recherche en reproduction et fertilité (CRRF) of the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire (FMV) of UdeM, Canada. He also performed two postdocs. The first (2014-2015) at the Département de biomédecine vétérinaire-FMV-UdeM and the second (2016-2017) at the Department of Pharmacology Therapeutics of the School of Biomedical Sciences at McGill University. In 2017 he became assistant professor at FMV-UdeM, Canada and currently Dr. Zamberlam holds the position of associate professor at the same institution. He has experience in the area of Veterinary Medicine and animal production, with emphasis on pathophysiology of animal reproduction. His research interests include ovarian physiology; pituitary physiology: regulation of gonadotropin synthesis and; disorders of the pituitary and gonads. His work involves models of ruminants (mainly cattle) and transgenic mice.

Possui graduação em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2007), mestrado sanduíche em Medicina Veterinária entre a Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-RS e a Université de Montréal (UdeM) no Canadá (2009) e PhD em Ciências da Medicina Veterinária (opção de reprodução) pelo Centre de recherche en reproduction et fertilité (CRRF) da Faculté de médecine vétérinaire (FMV) da UdeM, Canadá. Também realizou dois pós-doutorados. O primeiro (2014-2015) no Département de biomédecine vétérinaire-FMV-UdeM e o segundo (2016-2017) no Department of Pharmacology Therapeutics da School of Biomedical Sciences da McGill University. Em 2017 se tornou professor adjunto da FMV-UdeM, Canada e atualmente ocupa a posição de professor associado da mesma instituiçäo. Tem experiência na área de Medicina Veterinária e produção animal, com ênfase em fisiopatologia da reprodução animal. Seus interesses de pesquisa incluem fisiologia ovariana; fisiologia da hipófise: regulação da síntese de gonadotrofinas e; distúrbios da hipófise e gônadas. Seus trabalhos envolvem modelos de ruminantes (bovinos principalmente) e camundongos transgênicos.
