Have training in Agricultural Technician with specialization in Agribusiness by the Federal Institute of Codo-MA (2005) Undergraduation in Agronomy at the Federal University of Maranhão-UFMA Center for Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CCAA) (2011). Master in Agronomy (Plant Breeding) from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco-UFRPE (2013). PHD in Agronomy (Plant Breeding and Genetics) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho-UNESP, Jaboticabal. Has experience in Agronomy with emphasis on Quantitative Genetics in Plant Breeding and Cultivar Selection
PhD in Genetics and Plant breeding. Professor at the Federal University of Sergipe UFS.
Teaching:
Undergraduate - Agronomic Engineering;
Graduate program - Agriculture and Biodiversity (Capes 5).
My gool is training high-quality human resources in agricultural experimentation data analysis and plant breeding. The approaches used to accomplish include:
1) High-throughput field phenotyping (UAS/drones)
2) Novel statistical modeling methods (including big data)
3) Applied maize (corn) field breeding and novel breeding methods (classical and molecular)
The traits of interest for discovering genetic variation and improvement in maize for drought area and low technology include yield and stress (drouth tolerance, low nitrogen, and low phosphorus).
I´m an enthusiast about statistical program language, specialty R environment. All grad and undergrad student training is deeply embedded in all of my reaserach.
