Tomas L'Abbate Moreira

Holds a degree in History from the University of São Paulo and has recently received a master's degree in Social History from the same university. Has carried out a research project on the Domincan friar Tommaso Campanella (1568-1639) and his work on the Spanish Monarchy. Is currently studying the political and rhetorical aspects of the calabrian author's thought, focusing on his prophetic and theological view of the political world and of the future of the Spanish Monarchy, in the context of the Counter-Reformation. Also has experience in ​​Modern and Contemporary History, with an emphasis on the Intelectual History and the History of Political Thought in the Italian and Iberian Peninsulas and in the Hispanic World of the Early Modern Age (from 15th to the 17th centuries).

Possui Bacharelado (2016) e Licenciatura (2017) em História pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP) e Mestrado (2021) pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em História Social da mesma universidade. Desde a iniciação científica, dedica-se aos estudos sobre o dominicano calabrês Tommaso Campanella (1568-1639) e, em especial, sua obra "Monarchia di Spagna" (c. 1598). Atualmente, busca aprofundar tais estudos, focando sobretudo os aspectos retóricos e teológico-políticos do pensamento de Campanella à luz da vida social e política do Reino de Nápoles durante o período da Monarquia Hispânica e da Contrarreforma. Por fim, tem experiência na área de História Moderna e Contemporânea, com ênfase nas Histórias Intelectual e das Ideias Políticas nas penínsulas Ibérica e Itálica e no Mundo Hispânico durante a Alta Idade Moderna (Séc. XV-XVII).
