Katia Santos Bezerra

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2005), a master's degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2007) and a doctorate in Ecology and Natural Resources from the Federal University of São Carlos (2012). He is currently an adjunct professor at the State University of Alagoas and an alternate advisor at the State University of Alagoas. He has experience in the area of ​​Sustainable Aquaculture, Conservation Biology and Human Ecology, through the execution of research, innovation and product projects, with the preparation of hamburger and animal feed from mango, yam and cassava leaf, for use in family farming. In addition, it has already carried out investigative projects in areas on anthropogenic influence and environmental degradation, in the caatinga biome and the Atlantic forest in order to assess the local biodiversity.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2005), mestrado em Recursos Pesqueiros e Aquicultura pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2007) e doutorado em Ecologia e Recursos Naturais pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2012). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Alagoas e conselheiro suplemente da Universidade Estadual de Alagoas. Tem experiência na área de Aquicultura Sustentável, Biologia da Conservação e Ecologia Humana, através da execução de projetos pesquisa, inovação e produtos, com a elaboração de hambúrguer e ração animal de manga, inhame e folha de mandioca, para uso na agricultura familiar. Além disso, já realizou projetos investigativos em áreas sobre influência antropogênica e degradação ambiental, no bioma caatinga e mata atlântica com objetivo de avaliar a biodiversidade local.
