Suzana Pereira Nunes

Possui graduação em pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1980), mestrado em pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1983) e doutorado pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1985). Foi posdoutorando bolsista da Humboldt na Universidade de Mainz, Alemanha em 1985/1986, pesquisador da Pirelli em 1986/87, professor assistente e livre docente do Instituto de Quimica da UNICAMP de 1987 a 1997. Foi cientista visitante no Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japão, e Max-Planck-fur-Polymerforschung, Alemanha. Foi pesquisador e chefe de departamento de membranas para energia sustentável no GKSS Research Centre, Helmholtz Association, Alemanha de 1997 a 2009, onde coordenou projetos alemães estratégicos e europeus na area de célula combustível. Atualmente e Full Professor of Chemical and Environmental Science and Engineering na King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Arabia Saudita, tendo sido tendo sido Associate Dean da Divisao Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering por 5 anos. Tem experiência na área de Química, com ênfase em polimeros, atuando principalmente no desenvolvimento de membranas polimericas, self-assembly, termodinamica de solucoes. E Fellow da Royal Society of Chemistry.

She was Humboldt fellow at the University of Mainz, Germany in 1985/1986, researcher at Pirelli in 1986/87, Assistant / Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemistry, UNICAMP , 1987-1997. She was visiting scientist at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, and Max-Planck-fur-Polymerforschung, Germany. She was researcher and head of department of membranes for sustainable energy at GKSS Research Centre, Helmholtz Association, Germany 1997 - 2009, where she coordinated strategic German and European projects on fuel cell. Currently she is Full Professor of Chemical and Environmental Science and Engineering na King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. There she was Associate Dean of the Division of Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering for 5 years. She has experience in Chemistry, particularly on polymer science, polymeric membranes, self-assembly, thermodynamics of polymer solutions. She is Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
