Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Major in Genetics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Master's degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Doctorate in Biological Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and Postdoctorate in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology from The Scripps Research Institute, California (TSRI), USA, as a Fellow from The PEW Latin American Fellows Program in the Biomedical Sciences. Senior Scientist at the Brazilian National Cancer Institute (INCA), Supervisor in the Graduate Program of Oncology at INCA, and Member of the Brazilian Committee for The PEW Latin American Fellows Program. Board Member of the Brazilian Association of Mutagenesis and Environmental Genomics (MutaGen). Experienced in the field of Cellular and Molecular Biology of Cancer, mainly working on the following subjects: mechanisms of cell cycle control, Cyclins/CDKs, DNA replication, chromosome segregation, and genomic instability. Graduação em Ciências Biológicas (Genética) pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Mestrado em Genética e Biologia Molecular pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Doutorado em Química Biológica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) e Pós-Doutorado no Department of Cell and Molecular Biology pelo The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), Califórnia, EUA, como bolsista do PEW Latin American Fellows Program in the Biomedical Sciences. Pesquisador Titular do Instituto Nacional de Câncer (INCA), Docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Oncologia (PPGO) do INCA e Membro do Comitê Brasileiro do PEW Latin American Fellows Program. Foi Membro da Diretoria da Associação Brasileira de Mutagênese e Genômica Ambiental (MutaGen). Tem experiência na área de Biologia Celular e Molecular do Câncer, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: mecanismos de controle do ciclo celular, Ciclinas/CDKs, replicação do DNA, segregação cromossômica e instabilidade genômica.
