Kauê Lopes dos Santos

Kauê Lopes dos Santos is a Professor at the Institute of Geosciences at the State University of Campinas (IG-UNICAMP) and a Visiting Researcher at the Latin American and Caribbean Center at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LACC-LSE). He was Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Energy and Environment of the University of São Paulo (IEE-USP) between 2018 and 2021. He obtained the title of Doctor in Human Geography from the College of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP) in 2017, having served as a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Geography at the University of California, Berkeley (UC-Berkeley), from 2015 to 2016. He obtained a Master's degree in Habitat from the College of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP) in 2011. He obtained the titles of Bachelor of Geography from FFLCH-USP and Licentiate in Geography from the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo (FE-USP), both in 2007. Since the beginning of his academic career, conducts research on political, economic, urban and environmental issues related to territories in the Global South, especially in Latin America and Africa.

Kauê Lopes dos Santos é Professor do Instituto de Geociências da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (IG-UNICAMP) e Pesquisador Visitante no Latin American and Caribbean Centre da London School of Economics and Political Science (LACC-LSE). Obteve o título de Doutor em Geografia Humana pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP) em 2017, tendo atuado como Pesquisador Visitante no Department of Geography da University of California, Berkeley (UC-Berkeley) entre 2015 e 2016. Obteve o titulo de Mestre em Habitat pela Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAU-USP) em 2011. Obteve os títulos de Bacharel em Geografia pela FFLCH-USP e Licenciado em Geografia pela Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de São Paulo (FE-USP), ambos em 2007. Desde o início de sua trajetória acadêmica, realiza pesquisas sobre questões políticas, econômicas, urbanas e ambientais relacionadas aos territórios do Sul Global, especialmente na América Latina e na África.
