André Augusto Campanhole dos Santos

Amir Zacarias Mesquita is Research Productivity Scholarship - PQ / CNPq (2017-2023). Productivity and Technological Development Researcher - DT / CNPq (2010-2016).. He is Researcher of Minas Gerais State - Fapemig (2008-2010) (2012-2014) (2019-2021). ScD in Chemical Engineering - State University of Campinas/Unicamp (2005). Master in Science and Nuclear Techniques - Federal University of Minas Gerais/UFMG (1981). Graduated in Electrical Engineering - Federal University of Minas Gerais/UFMG (1978). He is Titular Researcher at Nuclear Technology Development Center (CDTN), a research institute of the Brazilian Nuclear Energy Commission (Cnen). Professor and Board Member (2014-2017) of the Postgraduate Program in Science and Technology of Radiation, Minerals and Materials of the CDTN; disciplines: Fundamentals of Nuclear Energy and History of Nuclear Science and Technology. Dr. Mesquita is devoted to research in nuclear engineering with emphasis on thermohydraulics and neutron experimental nuclear reactor research, and gamma irradiation. He has published more than four hundred articles in journals and conference proceedings. He is author of the books: Digital Control System Simulation for Nuclear Reactor Neutronic Parameters - New Science Publishers Inc. NY (2012); Experimental Thermo-Hydraulics of Nuclear Research Reactor Triga (2015), and Digital Instrument for Eddy Current Tests (2018). Book editor of: Current Research in Nuclear Reactor Technology in Brazil and Worldwide (2013), and Nuclear Reactors (2012) - InTech Publisher (Croatia). Member of the Editorial Board and Reviewer of several magazines, such as: Nuclear Technology (ANS), Journal of ASTM, Annals of Nuclear Energy/Progress in Nuclear Energy (Elsevier), International Journal of Nuclear Energy Science and Technology (Inderscience Publishers) and Nuclear Science and Techniques (Springer). Nominated twice by the Eni Scientific Secretariat for The Eni Award (2011 and 2012, Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli - Agip), category: Protection of the Environment Prize. He is consultant for Iberian-American Development Program for Science and Technology (Cyted) and the Education Board of Brazilian Nuclear Energy Commission (Cnen). He is expert of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) (Colombia/Marocco), and the National Centre of Science and Technology Evaluation (Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan). He is member of the Brazilian Association for Nuclear Engineering (Aben), and Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM). He is professor of training course for Brazilian nuclear reactors operators, and Senior Operator.

Dedica-se à pesquisa em engenharia nuclear, com ênfase em termohidráulica e neutrônica experimental de reator nuclear de pesquisa e irradiação gama. Instrutor de curso para treinamento de operadores de reatores nucleares e Operador Sênior de reator. Membro da Comissão de Análise Qualitativa da Área de Engenharias 2 na Capes, a partir de 2022.
