Professor at the Department of Social Work of the University of Brasilia. He has a degree in Social Work (UnB), and a Masters and PhD in Social Policy from PPGPS/UnB and a PhD internship at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is a member of the Núcleo de Estudos Afro-Brasileiros - NEAB/UnB. He was a public servant, Social Worker of the Secretary of Children of the Federal District, where he worked with adolescents in fulfillment of a social-educational measure, from 2008 to 2016. He was a social worker at the Federal District Health Secretariat (2011). He also has experience with the formation of community social networks, working with the Rede Social de Ceilândia 2008 to 2014.
Professor do Departamento de Serviço Social (SER) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Política Social (PPGPS) da Universidade de Brasília. Possui graduação em Serviço Social (UnB), Mestrado e Doutorado em Política Social pelo PPGPS/UnB e estágio doutoral na University of British Columbia (UBC). Lidera o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Raça, Juventude e Violência (RAJ); é membro do Núcleo de Estudos Afro-brasileiros (NEAB/UnB); e membro do Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Política Social (NEPPOS). Foi servidor público, Assistente Social da Secretaria de Justiça, Direitos Humanos e Cidadania do Distrito Federal, onde trabalhou com adolescentes em cumprimento de medida socioeducativa, de 2008 a 2016. Atualmente, realiza também pesquisas, formações e consultorias no âmbito do sistema socioeducativo. Foi assistente social da Secretaria de Saúde do Distrito Federal (2011). Trabalhou como assistente social no Tribunal de Justiça em Goiânia (TJGO) no ano de 2007.
