Ronnie Antunes de Assis

He is an Agricultural Technician from CEDAF/Federal University of Viçosa-MG (1992). He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary School of UFMG (EV-UFMG) (1999) in which he was a student of scientific initiation. He specialized in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine (DMVP/EV-UFMG) (2000-2001), completed a Master's Degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at (DMVP/EV/UFMG)(2000-2001) and an experimental part at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology-INTA, Rio Negro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, completed a Doctorate in Animal Science (DMVP/EV/UFMG) (2001-2005) with an experimental part at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology-INTA, Rio Negro, San Carlos from Bariloche, Argentina. He was a CNPq scholarship holder during this period. From 2006 to 2015, he worked at the Federal Laboratory for Agricultural Defense (LFDA) former LANAGRO-MG of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) with diagnosis of clostridial diseases, production and standardization of clostridial toxins and antitoxins and analysis of clostridial vaccines, as well as carrying out extension and teaching activities (gave lectures/training for Agricultural Defense Agencies and training in vaccine analysis for industry technicians and Graduate students of the UFMG Veterinary School), in addition to being an ISO Standard Auditor 17025. Was a CNPq scholarship holder in the SET-A modality, for the Sagres Project; Science and Technology Program for Agribusiness. From 2015-2016, he worked at the PANAFTOSA/PAHO/WHO laboratory located at the Biosafety Laboratory 3+ at LANAGRO-MG, organizing interlaboratory tests for the diagnosis of foot-and-mouth disease among Latin American countries. From 2016 to 2018, he did a post-doctorate at the Anaerobic Laboratory/DMVP/EV-UFMG as a CAPES fellow. He worked as Biological Technical Services Coordinator at Merck Sharp & Dohme Saúde Animal from 2019 to May 2022 with the development of in vitro tests for clostridiosis and evaluation of rabies vaccines.Currently: is studying 2 MBAs; in Project Management and in People Management and Leadership; approved in 2nd place in the Selection Process for Collaborating Professor of Microbiology and Parasitology at the State University of Western Paraná (UNICENTRO) - Public notice 96/2022; Approved in 1st place in the Selection Process for Professor of Veterinary Immunology of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine course at the State University of Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Campus Janaúba-Public notice 03/2022; Approved in 1st place in the Selection Process for Professor of General Veterinary Pathology of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the State University of Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Campus Janaúba;

É Técnico em Agropecuária pela CEDAF/Universidade Federal de Viçosa-MG (1992). Possui graduação em Medicina Veterinária pela Escola de Veterinária da UFMG (EV-UFMG) (1999) na qual foi aluno de iniciação científica. Especializou-se em Medicina Veterinária Preventiva no departamento de Medicina Veterinária Preventiva (DMVP/EV-UFMG) (2000-2001), fez mestrado em Medicina Veterinária Preventiva no (DMVP/EV/UFMG)(2000-2001) e parte experimental no Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuária-INTA, Rio Negro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, fez Doutorado em Ciência Animal (DMVP/EV/UFMG) (2001-2005) com parte experimental no Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuária-INTA, Rio Negro, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Foi bolsista do CNPq durante esse período. No período de 2006 a 2015 trabalhou no Laboratório Federal de Defesa Agropecuária (LFDA) antigo LANAGRO-MG do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA) com diagnóstico de clostridioses, produção e padronização de toxinas e antitoxinas clostridiais e análise de vacinas clostridiais, bem como exerceu atividades de extensão e Ensino (Proferiu palestras/treinamentos para Órgãos de Defesa Agropecuária e treinamento em análise de vacinas para técnicos de indústria e alunos de Pós Graduação da Escola de Veterinária da UFMG), além de ter sido Auditor Especialista da Norma ISO 17025. Foi bolsista do CNPq modalidade SET-A, do Projeto Sagres; Programa de Ciência e Tecnologia para o Agronegócio. De 2015-2016, trabalhou no laboratório do PANAFTOSA/OPAS/OMS situado no Laboratório de Biosseguranca 3+ do LANAGRO-MG, organizando ensaios interlaboratoriais para diagnóstico de febre aftosa entre países latino-americanos. De 2016 a 2018 fez Pós-doutorado no Laboratório de Anaeróbios/DMVP/ EV-UFMG na condição de bolsista da CAPES. Trabalhou como Coordenador de Serviços Técnicos Biológicos na Merck Sharp & Dohme Saúde Animal no período de 2019 a maio de 2022 com desenvolvimento de testes in vitro para clostridioses e avaliação de vacinas rábicas. Atualmente: está cursando 2 MBAs; em Gerenciamento de Projetos e em Gestão de Pessoas e Liderança; aprovado em 2˚ lugar no Processo Seletivo para Professor Colaborador de Microbiologia e Parasitologia na Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNICENTRO)- Edital 96/2022; Aprovado em 1˚ lugar no Processo Seletivo para Professor de Imunologia Veterinária do curso de Bacharelado em Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Campus Janaúba-EDITAL 03/2022; Aprovado em 1˚ lugar no Processo Seletivo para Professor de Patologia Geral Veterinária do curso de Bacharelado em Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Campus Janaúba.
