Graduation in Biological Sciences from the State University of Londrina (1986), master's degree (1989, Bolsa FAPESP) and doctorate (2000) in Agricultural Microbiology from the University of São Paulo / ESALQ-Piracicaba / SP, with Sandwich Scholarship from the CBS Fungal Biodiversity Institute ( Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures- Fungal Biodiversity Center- current Westerdijk institute) in the Netherlands. Post-doctorate in Molecular Taxonomy of Fungi at the referred Institute (Bolsa CAPES 2009-10). Full Professor at the Department of Basic Pathology / UFPR, permanent member of the Postgraduate Programs in Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology (PPGEBB) and in Microbiology, Parasitology and Pathology (PPGMPP), where he was coordinator (2011-2013). Holded the position of General Coordinator of Graduate Programs UFPR (2013-16). CNPQ-1C Productivity Scholarship, leader of CNPq research group, with emphasis on Molecular Characterization of Microorganisms of Clinical and Biotechnological Interest. Responsible for the creation and management of the Brazilian Melanized Fungus Network. Leader of the Black Yeast Genome project in Paraná and member of the team. Coordinator and Responsible for the implementation of the Microbiological Collections Center of the Paranaense Taxonline Network (CMRP / Taxonline).

Graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1986), mestrado (1989, Bolsa FAPESP) e doutorado (2000) em Microbiologia Agrícola pela Universidade de São Paulo/ESALQ-Piracicaba/SP, com Bolsa Sanduíche pelo Instituto de Biodiversidade Fúngica CBS (Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures- Fungal Biodiversity Centre- atual Westerdijk institute) na Holanda. Pós-doutorado em Taxonomia Molecular de Fungos no referido Instituto (Bolsa CAPES 2009-10). Professor Titular do Departamento de Patologia Básica/UFPR, membro permanente dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Bioprocessos e Biotecnologia (PPGEBB) e em Microbiologia, Parasitologia e Patologia (PPGMPP), onde foi coordenadora (2011-2013). Exerceu a função de Coordenadora Geral dos Programas de Pós-Graduação da UFPR, gestão 2013-16. Bolsista Produtividade CNPQ- 1C, líder de grupo de pesquisa CNPq, com ênfase em Caracterização Molecular de Microrganismos de Interesse Clínico e Biotecnológico. Responsável pela criação e gerenciamento da Rede Brasileira de Fungos Melanizados. Líder do projeto Genoma de Leveduras Negras no Paraná e membro da equipe. Coordenadora e Responsável pela implantação do Centro de Coleções Microbiológicas da Rede Paranaense Taxonline (CMRP/Taxonline).
