Erick Kader Callegaro Correa

Licentiate in Portuguese and English and their respective literatures at the Franciscan University, Brazil. Experienced in Systemic Functional Linguistics, Appraisal, Critical Discourse Analysis, Political Discourse Analysis and Negation in language. Master´s degree in Linguistic Studies at the Federal University of Santa Maria, with a final paper "Lula´s political discourse: the role of the negative marker "não (no/not) towards the construction of the textual persona", whose focus was on the analysis of the usage of negation in Lula's political speeches. He is also holds a Doctor's Degree in Linguistic Studies at the Federal University of Santa Maria and produced a thesis called "No is no, no? A study of political speech of Brazilian presidents through a Systemic-Functional Linguistic perspective" whose aim was to investive the lexicogrammar behaviour of negation in political speecher of militar and civil former presidents of Brazil.

Possui graduação em Letras Português/Inglês e respectivas literaturas pelo Centro Universitário Franciscano (2011). Tem experiência na área de Lingüística, com ênfase em Teoria e Análise Lingüística, atuando principalmente com as seguintes teorias: Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional, Teoria da Avaliatividade, Análise Crítica do Discurso e Análise de Discurso Político. Possui mestrado em Estudos Linguísticos pela Universidade Federal em Santa Maria, com a produção da dissertação intitulado "Discurso político de Lula: o papel do marcador negativo na construção da persona textual", cujo foco de estudo foi a exploração do Adjunto negativo "não" em discursos do ex-presidente. Possui doutorado em Estudos Linguísticos pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, na qual pesquisou sobre o comportamento léxico-gramatical da negação em discursos de presidentes militares e presidentes civis e produziu a tese "Não é não, não? Um estudo sobre discursos políticos de presidentes brasileiros pela perspectiva da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional". É membro da Associação de Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional da América Latina (ALSFAL)
