Doutor em Epistemologia e História da Ciência pela Université de Paris 7 e doutor em Filosofia pela USP (co-tutela). Possui graduação em Ciências Moleculares pela USP e Mestrado em História e Filosofia da Ciência pela Université de Paris 7. Pesquisador associado ao Laboratório SPHERE (Université Paris Cité e CNRS) e pesquisador do Núcleo de Bioética da FJLES. Atualmente, é professor no Ibmec-SP e na Faculdade Paulo VI. De 2019 a 2022, atuou como professor de Filosofia no IB-USP. Coordenador da área de Ética da iniciativa Understanding Artificial Intelligence (UAI), no IEA-USP. É editor associado da Revista Brasileira de História da Matemática. Membro do Gnómon - Grupo de Ciências e Matemáticas gregas da Areté (Centro de Estudos Helênicos), do Núcleo de Estratégias em Planejamento Experimental e Reprodutibilidade (NEPER-USP), da Association for the Philosophy of Mathematical Practice, do Centro Interunidade de História da Ciência (CHC-USP) e da Sociedade Brasileira de História da Matemática. Membro do comitê científico do Courrier Blaise Pascal. Trabalha nas áreas de história e filosofia da matemática; ética da inteligência artificial; história e filosofia da biologia; bioética.
PhD in Epistemology and History of Science from Université de Paris 7 and PhD in Philosophy from USP (co-tutorship). Graduated in Molecular Sciences from USP and Master's Degree in History and Philosophy of Science from Université de Paris 7. Researcher associated with the SPHERE Laboratory (Université Paris Cité and CNRS) and researcher at the Bioethics Nucleus of the PENSI Institute / FJLES. He is currently a professor at Ibmec-SP and at Faculdade Paulo VI. From 2019 to 2022, he served as a substitute professor of Philosophy at IB-USP. Member of Gnómon - Group of Greek Sciences and Mathematics of Areté (Center for Hellenic Studies), of the Nucleus of Strategies in Experimental Planning and Reproducibility (NEPER), of the Association for the Philosophy of Mathematical Practice and of the Brazilian Society of History of Mathematics. Member of the scientific committee of the Courrier du Center international Blaise Pascal. He works in the areas of history and philosophy of mathematics; ethics of artificial intelligence; history and philosophy of biology; bioethics.
