Fernando Monteiro Camargo

An anthropologist, he carried out and coordinated projects in the areas of education, culture and social protection. He participated in projects on: Trentino Tirolesa Cuisine from the Santa Olímpia neighborhood in Piracicaba / SP; Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit of Piracicaba; Forms of occupation of the banks of the Piracicaba river; Shared Curation in Museums (experience mapping); Database on education and youth; History of public educational policies in Brazil (research on former ministers of education); etc. He held an exhibition with authorial images on the theme: "Overflows of the Piracicaba River". He was a technical advisor at the Department of Social Assistance and Development of Piracicaba (SMADS) where he carried out the monitoring and evaluation of Social Programs and Projects. At SMADS, he was also responsible for the elaboration of special research, diagnosis and continuing education projects. He was coordinator of the Diagnosis of Child Labor in Piracicaba and the Census of Homeless Population in Piracicaba. He is a doctoral student in Social Sciences at the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences (PPGCS) at the State University of Campinas-UNICAMP, with a CNPQ scholarship, where he carries out the research "Life, writing and overflows: biographies and ethnography of the Piracicaba River"; Master in Social Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) (CAPES scholarship holder) where he carried out the research "On the banks of the Piracicaba river: the fisherman and other temporalities of Rua do Porto"; specialist in Cultural Management at SENAC, where he carried out the research "Impact Analysis of an Urban Requalification Project Associated with Culture: an anthropological study Projeto Beira Rio"; and graduated in Social Sciences from PUC de Campinas, he received a Scientific Initiation Scholarship, with a project that covers issues related to public policies for income transfer. He participates in the "Visurb-Visual and Urban Research Group" coordinated by Prof. Andréa Barbosa at UNIFESP and the "Labyrinth - Laboratory of Socio-Anthropological Studies on Life Technologies", coordinated by Prof. Daniela Tonelli Manica at UNICAMP. He is currently interested in studies and experiments with rivers and other bodies of water, images and other (ethno / bio / photo) graphics and with the construction of a poetic thought linked to research in anthropology.
Antropólogo, realizou e coordenou projetos de pesquisa na área de avaliação e monitoramento de políticas públicas em educação, cultura e assistência social (Ex.: diagnóstico do trabalho infantil; Censo da população em situação de rua etc). É doutor em Ciências Sociais no PPGCS - UNICAMP (bolsista CNPQ); mestre em Ciências Sociais pelo PPGCS-UNIFESP (bolsista CAPES); especialista em Gestão Cultural pelo SENAC; e graduado em Ciências Sociais pela PUC de Campinas (bolsista de Iniciação Científica). Participa do "Visurb - Grupo de Pesquisas Visuais e Urbanas" coordenado pela Profa. Andréa Barbosa na UNIFESP e do "Labirinto - Laboratório de Estudos Sócioantropológicos Sobre Tecnologias da Vida", coordenado pela Profa. Daniela Manica na UNICAMP. Tem interesse atualmente em pesquisas na área da assistência social (principalmente na elaboração de diagnósticos sociais), também nos estudos e experimentações metodológicas com imagens e outras (etno/bio/foto) grafias e com a construção de um pensamento poético atrelado a pesquisa.
