, Prof Luis Antonio Bittar Venturi

He holds a Master's degree (since 1993) and a PhD (since 2001) in Science (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo, where he also graduated (1986) and graduated. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Geography at USP, working in the areas of Natural Resources, Water, Energy, Theory, Methods and Research Techniques, topics on which he has given lectures, given mini-courses and published articles and books, example of "Geography - field, laboratory and classroom practices" (Ed. Sarandi, 2011), "Water's flow of peace" (Cambridge Scholars Publishing/Fapesp, 2020) and Natural Resources of Brazil (Appris/Fapesp , 2021), among other publications in international journals, such as "The new concept of natural resources and their derivations" (Water Management and Diplomacy, 2020). He is an 'ad hoc' evaluator by the MEC, a reviewer for research promotion institutions and specialized publications. He held a postdoctoral degree in Natural Resources at the Department of Geography at the University of Damascus (Syria) in 2011, being a member of the Syrian Geographical Society. In the United Kingdom, he served as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge between 2013 and 2014. In Turkey, he is a member of the Hydropolitic Association, in Ankara. He coordinated project 28 of the RCGI (Research Center for Gas Innovation - USP-FAPESP-Shell), in which the energy vulnerability map of São Paulo was produced, which culminated in a patent application by AUSPIN (USP Innovation Agency).
É Mestre (desde 1993) e doutor (desde 2001) em Ciências (Geografia Física) pela Universidade de São Paulo, onde também graduou-se (1986) e licenciou-se. Atualmente, é professor Titular do Departamento de Geografia da USP, atuando nas áreas de Recursos Naturais, Água, Energia, Teoria, Método e Técnicas de Pesquisa, temas sobre os quais tem proferido palestras, ministrado mini-cursos e publicado artigos e livros, a exemplo do "Geografia - práticas de campo, laboratório e sala de aula" (Ed. Sarandi, 2011), do "Water´s flow of peace" (Cambridge Scholars Publishing/Fapesp, 2020) e Recursos Naturais do Brasil (Appris/Fapesp, 2021), entre outras publicações em revistas internacionais, como o "The new concept of natural resources and its derivations" (Water Management and Diplomacy, 2020). É avaliador 'ad hoc', pelo MEC, parecerista de instituições de fomento à pesquisa e de publicações especializadas. Realizou pós-doutorado em Recursos Naturais no Departamento de Geografia da Universidade de Damasco (Síria) em 2011, sendo membro da Syrian Geographical Society. No Reino Unido, atuou como Visiting Scholar no Departamento de Geografia da University of Cambridge entre 2013 e 2014. Na Turquia, é membro da Hydropolitic Association, de Ankara. Coordenou o projeto 28 do RCGI (Research Centre for Gas Innovation - USP-FAPESP-Shell), no qual foi produzido o mapa de vulnerabiliade energética de São Paulo que culminou com um pedido de patente pela AUSPIN (Agência USP de Inovação).
