Marco de Tubino Scanavino

He holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Health Sciences Foundation of Porto Alegre (1989) and a Master's degree (2001) and a Doctorate (2007) in Health Sciences, in the Area of Psychiatry Concentration, and Post-Doctorate (2017) in the area of concentration of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. The Sexuality Studies Program (ProSex) from 1997 to 2014. Collaborator of the Integrated Outpatient Program of Impulse Disorders (ProAMITI) since 2006. Founder and Coordinator of the Outpatient Clinic for Excessive Sexual Impulse and Prevention of Negative Outcomes Associated with Sexual Behavior (AISEP) since 2014. All are located in the Institute of Psychiatry (IPq) of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (HC-FMUSP). In October 2008, he joined as a medical assistant at IPq-HCFMUSP, working at the Rehabilitation and Day Hospital Center (CRHD). In 2010, he got the Fapesp 2010/15921-6 grant by the project on clinical, psychopathological, and sexual behavior at risk of subjects with Excessive Sexual Impulse. This project was supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Parsons of The City University of New York. In 2011 he joined as Master's Advisor of the Experimental Pathophysiology Program of FMUSP. Elected a member of the Non-Regimental Research Commission of FMUSP, as a representative of doctor researchers, in May 2013, he participated until April 2019. He was approved and classified in the Accreditation Process of Members of the Clinical Staff of HC for Collaborating Professors of the Department of Psychiatry of FMUSP in 2013. Also, in 2013 obtained the second funding for the research, this time by CNPQ, for the project "Study of the frequency of sexual dysfunctions and associated factors in subjects seeking treatment for HIV/AIDS." It presents the Network of Collaborations in expansion research projects with Milton Wainberg of Columbia University, New York, and Hyoun Kim, Ryerson University, Canada. In 2018 he was approved in first place in the Public Competition Professor Hired III, Department of Psychiatry, USP, 2018, University of São Paulo, starting activities as a professor from the 2nd semester, where he coordinates in Psychiatry, the discipline Integration of The Main Diseases in Psychiatric and Neurological Situations for 4th-year students of FMUSP, together with Prof. Hermano Tavares. He recently joined as Associate Editor of the Archives of Clinical Psychiatry. He develops research on the following topics: compulsive sexual behavior, HIV/AIDS, severe mental disorder, sexual dysfunctions, sexual violence. He currently coordinates the Brazilian arm of the International Sexuality Survey (ISS)(https://internationalsexsurvey.org/), involving 45 countries. Since 2019 inaugurated a new line of studies in medical education in psychiatry. He has scientific production consistent with 83 publications in Publons (http://www.researcherid.com/rid/F-5087-2012), resulting in an index H = 15 (in Google Scholar, https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=JwpnLz8AAAAJ&hl=en), 10 in Scopus (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=15840492300) and 9 in the Institute of Science Information - ISI.

Fundador e Coordenador do Ambulatório de Impulso Sexual Excessivo e de Prevenção aos Desfechos Negativos associados ao Comportamento Sexual (AISEP) desde 2014. Presidente da Comissão de Voluntários da USP de 2020 até 2023. Todos localizados no Instituto de Psiquiatria (IPq) do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (HC-FMUSP). Em outubro de 2008 ingressou como médico assistente concursado do IPq-HCFMUSP, atuando no Centro de Reabilitação e Hospital-Dia (CRHD). Em 2010 obteve o primeiro auxílio a pesquisa FAPESP 2010/15921-6, do projeto sobre aspectos clínicos, psicopatológicos e comportamento sexual de risco de sujeitos com Impulso Sexual Excessivo. Este projeto passou a ser supervisionado pelo Dr Jeffrey Parsons da City University of New York. Em 2011 ingressou como Orientador de Mestrado do Programa de Fisiopatologia Experimental da FMUSP. Eleito Membro da Comissão de Pesquisa Não Regimental da FMUSP, como representante dos pesquisadores doutores do HC, em maio de 2013, da qual participou até abril de 2019. Aprovado e classificado no Processo de Credenciamento de Membros do Corpo Clínico do HC para Professores Colaboradores do Departamento de Psiquiatria da FMUSP em 2013. Ainda em 2013 obteve o segundo financiamento à pesquisa, desta vez pelo CNPQ, para o projeto ?Estudo da frequência de disfunções sexuais e fatores associados em sujeitos que buscam tratamento para o HIV/AIDS?. Apresenta rede de colaborações em projetos de pesquisa expansão com nomes como Milton Wainberg, da Columbia University, Nova Iorque e Hyoun Kim, Ryerson University, Canada. Em 2018 foi aprovado em 1º lugar no Concurso Público Professor Contratado III, Departamento de Psiquiatria, USP, 2018, Universidade de São Paulo, iniciando as atividades como Professor a partir do 2º semestre, aonde coordena na Psiquiatria, a disciplina Integração das Principais Doenças em Situações Psiquiátricas e Neurológicas para os alunos do 4º ano da FMUSP, juntamente com o Prof. Hermano Tavares. Recentemente, ingressou como Editor Associado da Archives of Clinical Psychiatry. Desenvolve pesquisas nos seguintes temas: comportamento sexual compulsivo, HIV/AIDS, transtorno mental grave, disfunções sexuais, violência sexual. Atualmente coordena o braço brasileiro da Pesquisa Internacional da Sexualidade (ISI)(https://internationalsexsurvey.org/), envolvendo 45 países. Desde 2019 inaugurou uma nova linha de estudos em educação médica em psiquiatria.
