Eduardo de Jesus Coelho Reis

Bacharel em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA) em 2014. Mestre em Informática pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) em 2016.Durante a graduação fez Iniciação Científica no Laboratório de Processamento e Análise de Imagens (LABPAI) do Núcleo de Computação Aplicadas (NCA) financiado pela FAPEMA por 2 anos. Foi contemplado com 1 ano de intercâmbio pelo Programa Ciências Sem Fronteiras (CsF), financiado pelo CNPq. Estudou na Lakehead University em Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Durante o intercâmbio também estagiou na Qwantech.Áreas de interesse acadêmico englobam Simulação Física, Pesquisa Operacional, Otimização e Raciocínio Automático.Atualmente é membro do grupo de Geofísica Computacional do Instituto Tecgraf da PUC-Rio, atuando no desenvolvimento do software V3O2 na manipulação, processamento e visualização de dados geofísicos, em colaboração com a Petrobrás.Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, com ênfase em Aprendizado de Máquina, Processamento de Linguagem Natural, Processamento de Imagem, Visão Computacional e Computação Gráfica.

Bachelor in Computer Science from the Federal University of Maranhao (UFMA) in 2014. Master of Science in Informatics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 2016.During the graduation, he did 2 years of Scientific Initiation in the Laboratory of Image Processing and Analysis (LABPAI) at the Nucleus of Applied Computation (NCA) funded by FAPEMA. He was awarded with a 1-year exchange program by the Science Without Borders (SWB) Program, funded by CNPq. He studied at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. During the exchange program he also did an internship working as full-time at Qwantech.Areas of academic interest include Physical Simulation, Operational Research, Optimization and Automatic Reasoning.Currently, he is a member of the Computational Geophysics Group at the Tecgraf Institute of PUC-Rio and works in the development of the V3O2 software for manipulation, processing and visualization of geophysical data, in collaboration with Petrobras.He has experience in Computer Science, with emphasis on Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics.
