Paulin SONON
Graduation (2010) and master (2013) from University of Abomey-calavi/Benin in Cell Biology and Immunology, and Ph.D in Basic and applied immunology (IBA) from University of São Paulo (USP)/Brazil (2018). From 11/2018 to 08/2019, and from 09/2019 to 03/2021, Dr. SONON did post doctorate training at Ribeirao Preto medicine school (FMRP-USP)/Brazil and at FIOCRUZ Fundação Oswaldo Cruz - Instituto Aggeu Magalhães (IAM)/Pernambuco-Brazil, respectively. He acquired experiences in Molecular Biology, Immunogenetics, focusing on the genes and molecules of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and specifically on Human Leucocytes Antigens (HLA) class-I classical (HLA-A, -B, -C) and non-classical (HLA-E, -F and -G); acting as epidemio-geneticist on tropical diseases focusing on the following subjects: P. falciparum malaria, schistosomiasis, genetic polymorphisms, study of genetic susceptibility/resistance to infectious diseases and co-infection. Has experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and basic knowledge in bioinformatics.
