Márcio Drumond Costa Ferreira

Graduado no ano de 2004 em "Engenharia Mecatrônica" pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC-MG), pós-graduado a nível lato sensu (MBA) no ano de 2008 em "Gestão da Excelência nas Organizações" pelas Faculdades Pedro Leopoldo (FPL) - trabalho de final de curso intitulado "A conversão do conhecimento tácito em explícito em uma autarquia estadual vinculada ao INMETRO" - e pós-graduado a nível stricto sensu (Mestrado) no ano de 2012 em "Ciência e Tecnologia das Radiações" pelo Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN) - dissertação intitulada "Estudo da eficiência de um detector HPGe por métodos semiempírico e experimental" - Márcio Drumond Costa Ferreira trabalha desde 2010 na Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN), habilitado através de concurso público. Atualmente trabalha na Divisão de Segurança Nuclear e Radiológica (DISER) do CDTN (que é um dos institutos da CNEN). Possui duas certificações de Supervisor de Radioproteção, a primeira, concedida pela CNEN no ano de 2016 e renovada em 2021, na área de "Instalação de Calibração de Instrumentos com Fontes de Radiação", o que o permite trabalhar como Supervisor de Radioproteção do Laboratório de Calibração de Dosímetros (LCD/CDTN), e a segunda, concedida pela CNEN no ano de 2018, na área de "Mina e Usina de beneficiamento físico, químico e metalúrgico de minérios com U ou Th associados". Desde 2017, Márcio Drumond Costa Ferreira é integrante do Serviço de Atendimento a Emergência Radiológica (SAER) do CDTN e desde 2020 atua também no Sistema de Contabilidade e Controle de Material Nuclear, como Responsável Técnico Substituto pelas Área de Salvaguardas do CDTN. Começou a se interessar e a trabalhar com Cultura de Segurança Radiológica em 2018. Desde então, está presente o pensamento de conhecer e fortalecer a Cultura de Segurança do seu instituto. Até fevereiro/2016, trabalhou na cidade do Rio de Janeiro no Instituto de Radioproteção e Dosimetria (IRD), também pertencente à CNEN, onde foi o Responsável Técnico pelo Laboratório de Espectrometria Gama da Divisão de Radioproteção, além de Operador Oficial da Estação RASA de Radionuclídeos do CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization). Até o final do ano de 2009 trabalhou como Analista de Gestão, Metrologia e Qualidade no Instituto de Metrologia e Qualidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (IPEM-MG), órgão delegado do Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Qualidade e Tecnologia (INMETRO). Hoje atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: radioproteção, cultura de segurança, emergências radiológicas, salvaguardas, dosimetria, dosimetria interna, instrumentação nuclear e espectrometria gama.

Graduated in 2004 in "Mechatronics Engineering" from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG), post-graduated at lato sensu level (MBA) in 2008 in "Management of Excellence in Organizations" from Faculdades Pedro Leopoldo ( FPL) - final course work entitled "The conversion of tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge in a state autarchy linked to INMETRO" - and postgraduate degree at stricto sensu level (Masters) in 2012 in "Science and Technology of Radiations" by Center for the Development of Nuclear Technology (CDTN) - dissertation entitled "Study of the efficiency of an HPGe detector by semi-empirical and experimental methods" - Márcio Drumond Costa Ferreira has been working at the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) since 2010, qualified through a public tender. He currently works at the Division of Nuclear and Radiological Safety (DISER) of the CDTN (which is one of the institutes of CNEN). He has two Radiation Protection Supervisor certifications, the first, granted by CNEN in 2016 and renewed in 2021, in the area of "Calibration Installation of Instruments with Radiation Sources", which allows him to work as Radiation Protection Supervisor at the Radioprotection Laboratory. Calibration of Dosimeters (LCD/CDTN), and the second, granted by CNEN in 2018, in the area of "Mine and Plant for the physical, chemical and metallurgical processing of ores with associated U or Th". Since 2017, Márcio Drumond Costa Ferreira has been a member of the CDTN's Radiological Emergency Service (SAER) and since 2020 he has also worked in the Nuclear Material Accounting and Control System, as Substitute Technical Responsible for the CDTN's Safeguards Area. He began to be interested in and work with the Radiological Safety Culture in 2018. Since then, the idea of knowing and strengthening the Safety Culture of his institute has been present. Until February/2016, he worked in the city of Rio de Janeiro at the Institute of Radioprotection and Dosimetry (IRD), also belonging to CNEN, where he was the Technical Responsible for the Gamma Spectrometry Laboratory of the Radioprotection Division, in addition to Official Operator of the RASA Station of CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization) radionuclides. Until the end of 2009, he worked as a Management, Metrology and Quality Analyst at the Institute of Metrology and Quality of the State of Minas Gerais (IPEM-MG), a delegate body of the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO). Today he works mainly in the following areas: radioprotection, safety culture, radiological emergencies, safeguards, dosimetry, internal dosimetry, nuclear instrumentation and gamma spectrometry.
