Graduado em Economia e Engenharia, UFPR (1974, 5) e em Direito, UNISUL(2017). Mestre em Engenharia de Produção, COPPE / UFRJ (1977). Doutor em Engenharia de Transportes, COPPE / UFRJ (1982). Lecionou em graduação e em pós-graduação nos Estados Unidos da América (SOSU; UNO), 1981. Foi bolsista do British Council e da Fulbright Foundation. Pós-doutorado, Universidade de Londres, na área de Economia do Trabalho, 1989. Pós-doutorado em Lógica Fuzzy Aplicada, COPPE / UFRJ, 2012. Onze livros publicados nas áreas de Economia, Administração, Finanças e Estatística. Uma centena de trabalhos científicos publicados. Professor Titular aposentado da UFPR. Professor da Universidade do Contestado.

Assistant editor of the Journal of Accounting and Controllership of UFPR from 2010 to 2012. Associate Professor, Department of Accounting, Federal University of Paraná. Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Accounting. He has 9 books published in the areas of Economy, Administration, Finance and Statistics. He held the vice-direction of the Sector of Applied Social Sciences of UFPR from 2013 to 2017. Reviewer of scientific articles for the International Review of Financial Analysis (Qualis-CAPES A1) and 10 other journals.
