Carlos Henrique Fernandes

Graduated in Medicine (1984), specialist in Sports Medicine (1986) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Medical Residency in Orthopedics at Hospital Miguel Couto (1987), Master's (1993) and PhD(1998) at the Federal University of São Paulo. Member of the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT) and Brazilian Society of Hand Surgery (SBCM), Paulista medical Association(APM) and Brazilian Medical Association (AMB). International Member of the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), Science of Variation Group (SVG) and International Bone Research Association (IBRA). Secretary of SBOT-SP, Member of Statute and Regiments Commission of SBOT and Member of the Fiscal Council of SBCM. I am currently an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP). Advisor of the Postgraduate Course in Health Sciences Applied to Sport and Physical Activity at the Federal University of São Paulo. Member of the Editorial Board of HAND. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Orthopedics, acting on the following subjects: hand surgery, arthroscopy and wrist endoscopy, carpal tunnel syndrome, hand injuries in sports, stenosing tenosynovitis, tendon injuries, fractures and wrist dislocations, congenital deformities and osteoarthritis of the hand.
