Austim Mota Gomide Pimenta
Graduated in Electrical Engineering with Emphasis in Power Systems and currently studying for a Master's Degree in Materials Engineering at IME (Military Engineering Institute), having the dissertation defended as one of the requirements for graduation. The dissertation comprises the development and construction of a cathodic sputtering deposition system, from its design conception to its construction and automation, with the purpose of manufacturing thin films with conductive, semiconductive and insulating electrical properties for their studies.I worked as a Technical Researcher at Inmetro (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) in the Materials Division (DIMAT), allocated within the project "Development of Advanced Methods of Characterization of Materials by Diffraction of Backscattered Electrons (EBSD)". The project aims at the development of metrology for the EBSD technique, which can significantly influence the properties of advanced materials generating technological innovation, including determination of grain size (TG), volumetric fraction of retained austenite in steel and crystallographic texture of nanostructured materials.Also, he was responsible for the laboratories of preparation of metallographic samples, both in preparation and in the development of new techniques of preparation of the samples for MEV (Scanning Electron Microscopy) and MET (Transmission Electron Microscopy). Perform analysis of samples using the SEMs, being responsible for the maintenance supervision of the same, along with the refrigeration equipment (chiller) and nobreaks of the division.Implemented and adapted the laboratories to the Quality System for Testing and Calibration Laboratories in accordance with current standards. I have experience in the analysis and follow-up of projects and technical partnerships acquired during the period of work in the Innovation and Technology Division (Ditec) of Inmetro.Acting as an Autonomous Electrician Engineer in sizing and inspections of electrical installations, executing and applying the necessary regulations and standards of IBAPE, ABNT and Fire Department. Experience in technical reports and self-report in the city of Rio de Janeiro following the necessary regulations.
Tendo 11 anos de experiência em LIDERANÇA em Laboratório de Microscopia possuindo um alto nível de qualificação profissional em metrologia de nanomateriais, sendo formado pela CEFET-Campos/UNED- Macaé em Automação (2003), graduado na Universidade Católica (2012) em Engenharia Elétrica e Mestre em Ciências dos Materiais (2017) pelo Instituto Militar Engenharia (IME). Especialista em execução de análises com técnicas avançadas de microscopia eletrônica de varredura, utilizando técnicas de preparação de materiais como a técnica por feixe de íons focalizado (FIB) utilizando tanto feixes de íons de hélio, neônio ou gálio, fundamental para preparar a maioria das amostras para serem analisados nos microscópios de transmissão, quanto em análises de microscopia eletrônica de varredura com detector de elétrons secundários (ETD), elétrons retroespalhados (TLD), transmitidos (TSEM), análise química por espectroscopia de raios X por dispersão em energia (EDS) e difração de elétrons retroespalhados (EBSD).
