Humberto Borges-Gonçalves

Humberto Borges-Gonçalves é professor adjunto de Linguística e Formação de Professores de Língua Portuguesa do Instituto de Ciências Humanas e Letras da Universidade Federal de Jataí (UFJ) desde 2020. É bacharel em Letras (2008-2011), com habilitação em língua portuguesa e suas respectivas literaturas, e mestre em Linguística (2012-2014) pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). É doutor em Linguística (2014-2019) também pela UnB, com estágio de pesquisa doutoral de 12 meses no Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan (Estados Unidos, 2016) e cursos de verão em linguística na University of Crete (Grécia, 2017). Realizou estágio pós-doutoral em Linguística na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2019-2020). Desenvolve pesquisa em teoria da gramática, linguística de contato e ações afirmativas.

I am currently a Professor of Linguistics at the Federal University of Jatai (UFJ), Brazil (2020-present). Before joining the UFJ, I have been a postdoctoral researcher in Linguistics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (2019-2020). I received my PhD degree in Linguistics from University of Brasilia in early 2019. With a scholarship from the Capes Foundation (Brazil), I have been a visiting graduate student at the Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan to further my PhD research for one year (2016), under the supervision of Professor Acrisio Pires.
