MARCOS AUGUSTO COSTA BASTOS

Bacharel em Ciências Militares pela Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras, Mestre em Operações Militares pela Escola de Aperfeiçoamento de Oficiais e Mestre em Ciências Militares pela Escola de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército. É pós-graduado em Política e Estratégia pela Associação dos Diplomados da Escola Superior de Guerra (ADESG), em Bases Geopolíticas para a formulação Estratégica pela Escola de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército, em História Militar pela Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, em Segurança, Defesa e Integração Regional pela Universidade de San Carlos de Guatemala e em Altos Estudos de Defesa e Estratégia pela Universidade de Defesa Nacional da República Popular da China. Atualmente é Assessor Senior de Relações Internacionais no Estado-Maior do Exército (EME) e mestrando em Ciências Políticas pela Universidade Europeia do Atlântico, na Espanha. Tem experiência na área de Defesa, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Diplomacia de Defesa, Diplomacia Militar Terrestre, Geopolítica, Estratégia, Cooperação Militar Internacional, Liderança, História Militar, História do Exército Brasileiro, Operações de Paz e Educação à Distância.

Bachelor in Military Sciences from the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras, Master in Military Operations from the School for the Improvement of Officers and Master in Military Sciences from the School of Command and General Staff of the Army. He holds a postgraduate degree in Politics and Strategy from the Association of Graduates of the Superior War School (ADESG), in Geopolitical Bases for Strategic Formulation from the Army Command and General Staff School, in Military History from the University of Southern Santa Catarina, in Security, Defense and Regional Integration from the University of San Carlos de Guatemala and in Advanced Studies in Defense and Strategy from the National Defense University of the People's Republic of China. He is currently a Senior Advisor for International Affairs at the General Staff of the Army (EME) and is pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science at the European University of the Atlantic, in Spain. He has experience in the area of Defense, working mainly on the following topics: Defense Diplomacy, Land Military Diplomacy, Geopolitics, Strategy, International Military Cooperation, Leadership, Military History, History of the Brazilian Army, Peace Operations and Distance Education.
