Professor na UFPB (Campina Grande - 1981 ? 1990). Foi professor da UFPB em Campina Grande, de 1979 a 1990, Professor Titular do Dept.. Eng. de Materiais, DEMa, da UFSCar, de 1990 a 2017 e Professor Titular Sênior no Dept.. Eng. de Materiais, DEMa, da UFSCar desde outubro de 2017. Coordenador do Grupo Montevideo (1995 ? 1997). Vice chefe do DEMa - UFSCar de (2004 ? 2006). Vice-coordenadora da Pós-Graduação em Ciência e Engenharia de Materiais - UFSCar (2009-2012) e foi membro do Grupo de Apoio e Planejamento do PADCT- MCT. Orientou 25 mestres e 22 doutores. Autora de mais de 200 artigos publicados em periódicos indexados. Atua no desenvolvimento, otimização e caracterização de nanomateriais e nanoestruturas cerâmicas e no processamento de cerâmicas em micro-ondas. Incluída no livro "Successful Women Ceramic and Glass Scientists and Engineers: 100 Inspirational Profiles" por Lynnette D. Madsen, em 2015. Menção honrosa no 61° Congresso Brasileiro de Cerâmica, em 2017. Vencedora do Prêmio "Ciência e Tecnologia de São Carlos" - em 2017. She earned her Bachelor?s degree in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1978), her Master?s degree in Process She earned her Bachelor?s degree (Materials Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos, 1978), Master?s degree in (Process Engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba 1981) and r Doktor-Ingenieur degree from (RWTH Aachen University - Germany, 1986). She is currently an Full Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos in the area of ceramics. Vice-head of DEMa - UFSCar (2004 ? 2006). Vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPG-CEM) at UFSCar (2009-2012). She supervised 25 masters and 22 doctors. Author of more than 200 articles published in indexed journals. She works in the development, optimization and characterization of nanomaterials and ceramic nanostructures and in microwave processing of ceramics. It was included in the book "Successful Women Ceramic and Engineers - 100 Inspirational Profiles" by Lynnette D. Madsen. Honorable mention at the 61st Brazilian Ceramics Congress, in 2017.
