Ernst Verwaal
Professor of International Business Management at the School of Economics and Business, KU Leuven - Campus Antwerp and is Visiting Professor at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, and FUMEC University, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He holds an MSc degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in International Business Studies from Leiden University. His research interests focus on the development of innovative and entrepreneurial organizational networks in an international business environment. Specific research topics include multinational firms, international cooperation, knowledge-exchange networks, emerging market economies, strategic and global outsourcing. In terms of theory development he is interested to integrate institutional and knowledge-exchange based approaches into new explanations of international business phenomena. His research is published in international refereed academic journals such as the Organization science, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Organization Studies, Journal of Common Market Studies, and Small Business Economics.
