Waldileia Ferreira de Melo Batista

Graduated in Full Degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Piauí (1995), Specialist in Natural Science Teaching (2000), Specialist in Parasitology from the Federal University of Piauí (2001) Specialist in Microbiology from PUC - Minas (2002), Master in Development and Environment (2014) and PhD in Development and Environment from the Federal University of Piauí (2020). She worked as an effective teacher in the state network of Piauí (SEDUC/PI), where she has already held the position of General Coordinator and Director. She also worked as a teacher in the private education network at Instituto Dom Barreto. Technician at the Institute of DNA FORENSE of the State of Piauí. Substitute professor at the State University of Piauí (UESPI) in the Biology course at the Picos campus. Works in higher education mainly in the areas of Education and Environment, with emphasis on Ethnobiology, working on the following topics: environmental changes and gender, ethnobotany and ethnozoology.

Possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual do Piauí (1995), Especialista em Ensino de Ciências Naturais (2000), Especialista em Parasitologia pela Universidade Federal do Piauí (2001) Especialista em Microbiologia pela PUC - Minas (2002), Mestra em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente (2014) e Doutora em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente pela Universidade Federal do Piauí(2020). Atuou como Professora efetiva da rede estadual do Piauí (SEDUC/PI), onde já exerceu as funções de Coordenadora Geral e Diretora. Trabalhou como professora da rede particular de ensino no Instituto Dom Barreto. Técnica do Laboratório do Instituto de DNA FORENSE do Estado do Piauí. Professora substituta da Universidade Estadual do Piauí (UESPI) no curso de Biologia do campus de Picos. Atua na docência superior principalmente nas áreas de Educação e Meio Ambiente, com ênfase em Etnobiologia, atuando nos seguintes temas: mudanças ambientais e gênero, etnobotânica e etnozoologia.
