Ivo Bruno Machado Pessanha

Formado em Oceanografia com ênfase em geofísica pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (1999), teve como tema de TCC a determinação do limite crustal (COB - Continent Ocean Boundary) da Margem Leste Brasileira. MSc. em Geologia e Geofísica Marinha pela Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF (2003), teve como tema de dissertação a correlação entre as feições vulcano-magmáticas (plataforma de abrolhos, cadeia Vitória-Trindade, montes submarinos da Bahia, diques e soleiras das bacias sedimentares) e anomalias gravimétricas presentes na Margem Leste Brasileira. Doutor em Geologia e Geofísica Marinha pelo IUEM-UBO e UFF (2011), tendo como tema de tese a abertura do oceano Atlântico Sul e a origem de feições como a Elevação do Rio Grande e a Cadeia Vulcânica de Walvis. Possui experiência no processamento, interpretação e modelagem de dados geofísicos (gravimetria, magnetometria, batimetria e sísmica). Participação na confecção do Mapa Geológico do Brasil (província oceânica). Participação no Projeto de determinação da Plataforma Continental Jurídica da Namíbia. Lecionou como professor substituto no Laboratório de Geologia Marinha (LAGEMAR-UFF) por 2 anos.Atuou como gerente técnico no contexto da parceria Fundação Estudos do Mar (FEMAR) e Serviço Geológico do Brasil (SBG-CPRM) para os programas REMPLAC (Programa de Avaliação da Potencialidade Mineral da Plataforma Continental Jurídica Brasileira) e PROAREA (Programa de Prospecção e Exploração de Recursos Minerais da Área Internacional do Atlântico Sul e Equatorial) por 2 anos. Chefe da Divisão de Geologia Marinha no Serviço Geológico do Brasil (SBG-CPRM) por 5 anos. Graduated in Oceanography with emphasis in Geophysics from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (1999), had as its theme determining the crustal boundary (continent ocean boundary - COB) Eastern Brazilian Margin. MSc. in Geology and Geophysics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF (2003), had the theme of the dissertation as Correlation between volcanic-magmatic features (platform of the Abrolhos, Vitória-Trinade Chain, Bahia Seamounts, dykes and sills of sedimentary basins) and gravity anomalies present in the Eastern Brazilian Margin. PhD. in Geology and Geophysics at IUEM-UBO and UFF (2011), with a thesis on the opening of the South Atlantic Ocean and the origin of features such as the Rio Grande Rise and Walvis Ridge.With experience in processing, interpretation and modeling of geophysical data (gravity, magnetic, seismic and bathymetry). Participated in the Geological Map of the Brazil (oceanic province). Participated in the Project of the determination of the Namibian Legal Continental Shelf. Lectured as substitute teacher at the Laboratory of Marine Geology (LAGEMAR-UFF) for 2 years.Acted as Technical Manager in the partnership between Fundação de Estudos do Mar (Femar) and Geological Survey of Brazil (SBG-CPRM) for REMPLAC (Program for Assessment of Potential Mineral Brazilian Legal Continental Shelf) and PROAREA (Program for Prospecting and Exploration of Mineral Resources in the South and Equatorial Atlantic International Area) for 2 years.
