Professor Titular do Instituto Federal de Educação Tecnológica do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN, CEFET-RN e ETFRN), com atuação como professor desde 1995. Com Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (1993), Mestrado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (1997) e Doutorado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (2012). Com experiência na área de Engenharia de Materiais e Metalúrgica, com ênfase em Materiais Não-Metálicos (Compósitos Poliméricos), atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: propriedades mecânicas, envelhecimento ambiental e análise de fratura em compósito.
