Pesquisador Assistente no VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology, na Universiteit Gent, Bélgica (2020-atual).
Post-doctoral Scientist at the VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology, at Universiteit Gent, Belgium. In the research group of Dr Wout Boerjan, I work with the identification of new genes/enzymes in phenolic metabolism via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome engineering and metabolite identification by state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based techniques. Graduated in Biology at the State University of Maringá (2013), Master degree (2016) and PhD (2020) in Cell and Molecular Biology at the State University of Maringá with a sandwich period at CNAP (Center for Novel Agricultural Products) at the University of York, United Kingdom (2018-2019). The PhD thesis was developed in plant biochemistry unravelling the grass cell wall structure and compositional shifts underlying salt stress. I have worked with heterologous expression of enzymes at the National Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory - CTBE, Campinas (2012); with protein chemistry and proteomics at the Butantan Institute, São Paulo (2014); chemical characterization of the cell wall of transgenic plants in the Laboratory of Plant Genetics and Biotechnology of Embrapa Agroenergia, Brasília (2017); and training in Polysaccharide Analysis by Carbohydrate gel Electrophoresis (PACE) at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge/United Kingdom (2019). I have developed my skills in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with emphasis on plant biochemistry and molecular physiology, cell wall architecture and composition, metabolomics, enzymatic saccharification and application of High throughput techniques for the analysis of plant cell walls.
