BSc Geology at University of Brasilia-UnB (Brazil), with sandwich period at University of Bergen-UiB (Norway). MSc Geotectonics at University of São Paulo-USP (Brazil). PhD Geology at University of Brasilia-UnB (Brazil), with sandwich period at Stony Brook State University of New York-SUNY/SBU (United States).
My industry and academic career involves structural geology, isotope geochemistry and geochronology. My research interests regard studying lithospheric structure, deformation, tectonics and geodynamics at different scales: microstructural, petrophysical, fieldwork observations, seismic and gravity data, experimental and numerical modelling.
My researches include lithospheric-scale seismic refraction modelling, basement structural inheritance during rifting, subseismic deformation (deformation bands) along rift transfer zones, and their influence on fluid flow within groundwater and oil reservoirs.
I'm currently combining structural, isotope geochemistry, element distribution maps, and U-Pb carbonate dating data of faults and calcite veins within carbonate reservoirs.
In mining industry, my main experience regards geological mapping and mineral prospecting for several ores such as coal, niobium, gold, iron, REE, manganese, graphite and phosphate.
