Bruno Mendes da Silva

Bruno Mendes da Silva has a postdoctoral degree in the scoop of the project ?The forking paths: Hypotheses of Interactivity for the Cinema of the Future?, by the University of the Algarve (UAlg), he earned a PhD in Literature and Cinema (Comparative Literature) by UAlg, postgraduate degree in Arts Management from the Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM) and a degree in Cinema and Video from the ESAP (Porto School of Arts). He is an adjunct professor at the School of Education and Communication (ESEC) at the University of Algarve. He is Vice-coordinator of the Center for Research in Arts and Communication. He was a TV Producer and Director at Teledifusão de Macau (TDM), between 1995 and 2000 and has been invited to participate in international video, digital media and film festivals such as FRESH (Thailand), Dokanema (Mozambique), Loop (Spain), the Festival of La Imagen and Ecologias Digitales (Colombia) and FILE (Brazil). He has participated in 11 scientific projects (as responsible investigator or research member) and is the author of several books, book chapters and other scientific publications (over 60). He supervised a number of PhD and Master?s thesis. He is a reviser of several national and international scientific journals. Member of the winning team of the Ceratonia Scientific Award.Research Interests: He has dedicated the last decade to the research of the relations between Communication, Art and Technology. He is currently Vice-coordinator of the Center for Research in Arts and Communication and member of the Scientific Board of Artech International.

Bruno Mendes da Silva, é pós-doutorado no âmbito do projeto ?Os Caminhos que se bifurcam: hipóteses de interatividade para o cinema do futuro?, pela Universidade do Algarve (UAlg), doutorado em Literatura e Cinema (Literatura comparada) pela UAlg, pós-graduado em Gestão das Artes pelo Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau (IEEM) e licenciado em Cinema e Vídeo pela Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP). É professor adjunto na Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação (ESEC) da UAlg. É Vice-coordenador do Centro de Investigação em Artes e Comunicação. Foi realizador e produtor da Teledifusão de Macau (TDM) entre 1995 e 2000 e tem vindo a ser convidado a participar em festivais internacionais de vídeo, média-arte digital e cinema como o FRESH (Tailândia), o Dokanema (Moçambique), o Loop (Espanha), o Festival de La Imagen e o Ecologias Digitales (Colômbia) e o FILE (Brasil). Participou em onze projetos científicos (como investigador responsável ou membro investigador) e é autor de vários livros, capítulos de livros e outras publicações científicas (mais de 60). Conta com várias orientações de teses de doutoramento e mestrado concluídas. É revisor de várias revistas científicas nacionais e internacionais. Membro da equipa vencedora do Prémio científico Ceratonia.Interesses de investigação: Tem dedicado a última década à investigação das relações entre Comunicação, Arte e Tecnologia. É, atualmente, Vice-coordenador do Centro de Investigação em Artes e Comunicação e membro do Conselho Científico da Artech International.
