Magdalena Villegas

* Industrial (mechanical) Engineer, ICAI - Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (Madrid-Spain) [1989-1995]* Naval Engineering Doctor, Universidade a Coruña (Ferrol-Spain) [2008-2011]Magdalena has specialized in Fire Safety. She has served in various positions at AFITI (Association for the Promotion of Researchand Fire Safety Technology) since 1996: Quality Manager, Technical Director of the Fire Fighting Systems and Equipments Laboratory and Technical Director of Technological Services:1.- As Quality Manager, she designed, implemented and managed the Quality System currently accredited by ENAC (National Accreditation of Spain) for fire testing.2.- As Technical Director of the Fire Fighting Sistems and Equipments Laboratory, she has run more than 1,500 test during the last 13 years.3.- As Director of Technology Services Department has designed, implemented and directed many ad-hoc tests to small and large scale. Also involved with the Ministry of Industry of Spain in developing the National Fire Regulation Rules; and with AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization) in standardization.
