Possui graduação em Curso de Formação de Oficiais Aviadores pela Academia da Força Aérea (1971) e graduação em Administração pelo Instituto Metodista Bennett (1998). Atualmente Coordenador e professor do Curso de Ciências Aeronáuticas da Universidade Estácio de Sá. Tem experiência na área de Defesa, com ênfase em Segurança Operacional, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ensino e capacitação, segurança de voo, instrução, segurança operacional, INSPAC-Piloto, INSPAC-Operações, certificação de operador aéreo com grande aeronave de transporte, piloto de grandes aeronaves de transporte, tendo operado em três diferentes continente e administração - Piloto Chefe, Diretor de Operações e Diretor Presidente - de empresas com aeronaves de grande porte.
