Thais Fernanda Alves Avelar

Graduada em Lazer e Turismo pela Universidade de São Paulo (2012). Mestre em Museologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (2014). Especialista em Cultura, Educação e Relações Étnico-Raciais (2016) e Especialista em Gestão Cultural (2017), ambas realizadas no CELACC - Centro de Estudos Latino Americanos sobre Cultura e Comunicação - USP. Doutoranda em Humanidades, Direitos e Outras Legitimidades - USP, desenvolvendo a pesquisa intitulada "Estéticas Decoloniais: Insurgências Negras nas Artes e na Museologia". Atuou como educadora no Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia MAE- USP, Museu do Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, na Fundação Bienal de Artes de São Paulo e no Museu Afro-Brasil. Coordenou o evento ?A Negritude em Debate: Intersecções entre Arte, Cultura, Gênero e Política? (2014). Atuou como Coordenadora e Pesquisadora docente do curso Afrodescendência Plural e Ativa no Brasil: Desconstrução e reconstrução das historicidades das populações negras em São Paulo (1a edição) contemplado pelo PROAC ? Proteção e Promoção das Culturas Negras (2015). Atuou como formadora de professores da rede municipal, na temática de educação étnico?racial, na linguagem audiovisual e artes visuais, no NEER- Núcleo de Educação Étnico-Racial da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de São Paulo de 2015 até 2016. Foi Co-curadora da Exposição Batalha de Memórias (2016). Coordenou o educativo da Exposição "Histórias Negras em Quadrinhos - Marcelo D'Salete" no Sesc Araraquara (2020-2021). Atuou como palestrante no Projeto que originou a Exposição ?Representatividades em Corpos Negros? do fotógrafo Gustavo Silva (2021). É integrante do Grupo de Pesquisa Ana Gertrudes de Jesus, mulher da terra: por uma história social dos grupos subalternos no Sul Global (África & Américas). Trabalha com temas relativos às questões étnico-raciais, implementação da Lei 10.639/03, atualizada pela Lei 11.645, gênero e a especificidade da mulher negra, cartografias decoloniais, cultura banto e patrimônios negros. Além de produzir pesquisas que versem sobre a relação entre arte e política, museus, sociomuseologia, acessibilidade sociocultural, públicos de museus, estudos de recepção, inclusão sociocultural, diversidade sociocultural e estéticas decoloniais pela perspectiva do Sul-Global. Atuou como Consultora em Acessibilidade Sociorracial e Inclusão Sociocultural no projeto Pré Pós-Graduação IEB-USP com vista a promover a ampliação de pessoas negras, indígenas, trans, apatridas, refugiadas, baixa renda e/ou pessoas com deficiência na universidade pública (2021). Desde 2015 é coordenadora do ANGANA - Núcleo de Pesquisa em Educação Patrimonial em Territórios Negros de São Paulo. É fundadora e coordenadora do Ngangu Kilembe, projeto de arte-educação em perspectiva antirracista (2021).

Graduated in Leisure and Tourism from the University of São Paulo (2012). Master in Museology from the University of São Paulo (2014). Specialist in Culture, Education and Ethnic-Racial Relations (2016) and Specialist in Cultural Management (2017), both held at CELACC - Center for Latin American Studies on Culture and Communication - USP. Doctoral Student in Humanities, Rights and Other Legitimacies - USP, developing the research entitled "Decolonial Aesthetics: Black Insurgencies in Arts and Museology".She worked as an educator at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology MAE-USP, Museum of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, at the Bienal de Artes Foundation of São Paulo and at the Afro-Brasil Museum. Coordinated the event ?The Blackness in Debate: Intersections between Art, Culture, Gender and Politics? (2014). Acted as Coordinator and Professor Researcher of the course Afrodescent Plural and Active in Brazil: Deconstruction and reconstruction of the historicities of black populations in São Paulo (1st edition) contemplated by PROAC ? Protection and Promotion of Black Cultures (2015). She worked as a teacher trainer in the municipal network, on the theme of ethnic-racial education, in audiovisual language and visual arts, at NEER- Ethnic-Racial Education Center of the Municipal Education Department of São Paulo from 2015 to 2016. Co-curator of the Batalha de Memórias exhibition (2016). Exhibition "Black Stories in Comics - Marcelo D'Salete" at Sesc Araraquara (2020-2021). He acted as a speaker in the Project that gave rise to the exhibition ?Representatives in Black Bodies? by photographer Gustavo Silva (2021). She is a member of the Ana Gertrudes de Jesus Research Group, Earth Woman: For a Social History of Subaltern Groups in the Global South (Africa & Americas). It works with themes related to ethnic-racial issues, implementation of Law 10.639/03, updated by Law 11.645, gender and the specificity of black women, decolonial cartographies, Bantu culture and black heritage. In addition to producing research on the relationship between art and politics, museums, sociomuseology, sociocultural accessibility, museum audiences, reception studies, sociocultural inclusion, sociocultural diversity and decolonial aesthetics from the perspective of the Global South. Worked as Consultant on Socio-racial Accessibility and Sociocultural Inclusion in the Pre-Post-Graduate IEB-USP project with a view to promoting the expansion of black, indigenous, trans, stateless, refugee, low-income and/or disabled people in public universities (2021) . Since 2015 she has been coordinator of ANGANA - Center for Research on Heritage Education in Black Territories of São Paulo. She is the founder and coordinator of Ngangu Kilembe, an art education project from an anti-racist perspective (2021).
