Yolanda Caliman Rodrigues

Geologist (2015) by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Master (2016-2018) and PhD student (beginning in 2018) by the Graduate Program in Geosciences of UFRGS. The current research area, in Environmental Geology, is related to the study of contaminants in bottom sediments of Lake Guaíba. Master's Degree in Stratigraphy with emphasis on the development of professional skills in: sedimentary rock mapping and high resolution sequence stratigraphy; Petroleum Geology with petrography and porosity analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD); cartographic and illustrative representations in ArcGis, Corel Draw and Illustrator. Still in the master's degree, she completed a teaching internship in the discipline of Stratigraphy, from the Institute of Geosciences of UFRGS. In Graduation, she worked on an extension project as a mediator in guided tours at the Museum of Paleontology at UFRGS, focusing on topics such as the formation of the solar system and the planet Earth and the evolution of life in geological time. Trained in elementary schools of the Municipal Education Network of Porto Alegre, developing environmental education activities for the teaching of geology of the territory and urban intelligence related to natural and built environments.

Geóloga (2015) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Mestra (2016-2018) e Doutoranda (início em 2018) pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geociências da UFRGS. A área de pesquisa atual, em Geologia Ambiental, é relacionada ao estudo de contaminantes em sedimentos de fundo do Lago Guaíba. Mestrado em Estratigrafia com ênfase no desenvolvimento de habilidades profissionais em: mapeamento de rochas sedimentares e estratigrafia de sequências de alta resolução; Geologia do Petróleo com descrição de lâminas petrográficas e análise de porosidade, microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e difratometria de raios X (DRX); representações cartográficas e ilustrativas em ArcGis, Corel Draw e Illustrator. Ainda no mestrado, realizou estágio de docência na disciplina de Estratigrafia, do Instituto de Geociências da UFRGS. Na Graduação, atuou em projeto de extensão como mediadora em visitas guiadas no Museu de Paleontologia da UFRGS com abordagem de temas como a formação do sistema solar e do planeta Terra e a evolução da vida no tempo geológico. Estagiou em escolas de ensino fundamental da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre, desenvolvendo atividades de educação ambiental para o ensino de geologia do território e inteligência urbana relacionados aos ambientes naturais e construídos.
