Ana Lúcia Pessotto dos Santos

Bacharel em Jornalismo pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC (2006), com Mestrado e Doutorado em Linguística (2011 e 2015) pela mesma universidade, financiada por bolsa no CNPq e da Capes. Realizou doutorado-sanduíche no Instituto de Tecnologia de Massachusetts (MIT) - Departamento de Linguística e Filosofia - no ano acadêmico 2012-2013, com financiamento do CNPq. Foi professora substituta no biênio 2016-2017 no Departamento e Linguística e Filologia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ, onde também realizou o estágio de pós-doutoramento na área de processamento de linguagem, no Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística. Experiente em pesquisa na área de Semântica formal, Linguística experimental e Pragmática, com foco na expressão da modalidade no Português Brasileiro. Recentemente tem se interessado pela investigação da marcação gramatical de gênero no Português Brasileiro e a demanda pela linguagem inclusiva.

Visiting grad student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Department of Linguistics and Philosophy, in the academic year 2012-2013, with funding from CNPq. She was a substitute professor in the 2016-2017 biennium at the Department and Linguistics and Philology of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ, where she also did a postdoctoral internship in the area of language processing, in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics. Experienced in research in the field of formal semantics, experimental linguistics, focusing on the expression of the modality in Brazilian Portuguese. Recently she has been interested in the investigation of grammatical gender marking in Brazilian Portuguese and the demand for an inclusive language.
