He received the BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EP/USP), Brazil, in 1999. Two years later, he received the MSc. degree in Power Systems Automation from the same institution, where he has worked as R&D researcher until 2006, in the field of distribution substation automation, load forecasting and artificial neural networks. From 2007 to 2015, he worked at a Electricity Utility in Brazil, as a Senior Energy Planner in the regulated market. His work was mainly related to market analysis, load forecasting, energy supply contracting and income analysis of the distribution utilities. He is currently working towards the PhD. degree at University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. His research interests include the assistance of IoT in energy efficiency and the impacts on Brazilian Energy Regulations.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica (1999) e mestrado (2002) em Sistemas de Potência pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - PEA/EPUSP. Atualmente é aluno de Doutorado pela Faculdade de Engenharia Mecânica da Universidade de Campinas - FEM/UNICAMP (2016), na área de Planejamento de Sistemas Energéticos.
