Thamyres Barros Pereira de Castro

Graduada em Biomedicina pela Universidade da Cidade de São Paulo, com habilitação em Análises Clínicas (Laboratório Municipal da Região Sudeste). Mestre em Ciências da Saúde pelo Instituto de Assistência Médica ao Servidor Público Estadual (IAMSPE) em parceria com a Faculdade de Medicina da USP (FMUSP) e o Instituto Butantan. Realizou seus protocolos no Laboratório de Terapêutica Experimental (LIM-20) localizado na FMUSP atuando principalmente com os temas: Bacterial Infection, Aerobic Exercise, Animal Model.

I am a Biomedicine (or Biomedical Science) student at the University of the City of São Paulo (UNICID), I am in my 4th year, 7th semester. I do Scientific Initiation in a medical research laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) and also in the laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of UNICID, in the area of ​​Respiratory Physiology. In addition to the Respiratory Physiology, in my graduation I had great experiences with the area of ​​Parasitology, since it is an area that I have facility too. I participated for 4 months in a project on the erythrocytic cycle of Plasmodium falciparum (Malaria), where I learned the techniques of Molecular Biology, parasite culture and cytometry. In April 2016 I completed my first curricular internship at the Hospital das Clínicas of the University of São Paulo (HC-FMUSP) at the Nucleus of Malaria Studies of the Superintendence of Control of Endemic Diseases, which has a Scientific Cooperation Agreement with the Institute of Tropical Medicine Of São Paulo / USP and I currently do a curricular internship for qualification in Clinical Analyzes.
