Atualmente é professor adjunto do Instituto Federal do Ceará (IFCE) e docente colaborador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (PPGE/UECE). Pesquisador dos grupo de pesquisa de Estudos, Trabalhos Pedagógicos e Pesquisa no Ensino médio (GETPEM), na linha de Educação, Saúde e Exercício Físico, cadastrado no Diretório de Grupos de Pesquisa do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). Membro da Comissão Técnica de Acompanhamento e Avaliação de Cursos de Graduação e Pós-Graduação do Ministério da Educação (2008 - 2011).
