Abel Gómez Llana

Abel Gómez Llana received his degree on Computer Science (Ingeniero en Informática) at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in 2005. In 2006, he stayed at the Institute for Information Systems (Institut für Informationssysteme) at Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany), where he began his research works in bioinformatics and Model driven engineering. He received a master's degree in Software Engineering, Formal Methods and Information Systems in 2008 (Máster en Ingeniería del Software, Métodos Formales y Sistemas de Información, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia), and a PhD in Programación Declarativa e Ingeniería de la Programación at the Universitat Politècnica de València (2012).A. Gómez has hold several research, teaching, and collaboration grants since 2004; including the research and teaching FPU fellowship (Fomación de Profesorado Universitario) funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science (Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia) between 2007--2011.Currently, he is a senior research technician at the Departamento de Sistemas Informáticos y Computación, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Abel Gómez has wide experience in Model Driven Development and the Eclipse platform, giving many courses in the last years in different organizations in Spain.His areas of interest include model-driven software development, model transformations, and their applicability in diverse fields such as bioinformatics, software product lines, feature modeling and variable content documents.
