Graduatet in mechanical engineering from UDESC - State University of Santa Catarina (1980), Master in aeronautics and mechanical engineering from ITA - Aeronautics Technological Institute (1987) and Ph.D. in Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering from University of Birmingham (1995). He is currently an assistant professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho and was a lecturer at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics between 2002 and 2008 and linked to postgraduate studies until 2011. He is currently registered scientific advisor to CNPq - National Council for Scientific, scientific advisor of the promotion director of the Foundation for the Development of UNESP and board member of the manufacturing committee of the Brazilian Association of Engineering and Mechanical Sciences from 2005 - 2009. He also has experience in the area of Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Metal Forming and Machining, Sheet Metal Forming, working mainly on the following themes: sheet forming, friction, sheet metal forming, anisotropy and stamping. More recently, also working in the area of Mobility Engineering.He also has experienced in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Metal Forming and Machining, Sheet Metal Forming, acting mainly on the following topics: sheet forming, friction , strain-rate, anisotropy. More recently, also working in the areas of Mobility Engineering and Aeronautics.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela UDESC - Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (1980), Mestrado em Engenharia Aeronáutica e Mecânica pelo ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1987) e doutorado em Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering - University of Birmingham (1995). Atualmente é professor assistente doutor da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho e foi professor conferencista do Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica entre 2002 e 2008 e vinculado a Pós-graduação até 2011, assessor científico cadastrado do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, assessor científico da diretoria de fomento da Fundação para o Desenvolvimento da UNESP e membro do conselho do comitê de fabricação da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia e Ciências Mecânicas de 2005 - 2009. Tem experiência na área de Manufatura & Engenharia Mecânica, com ênfase em Conformação e Usinagem dos Metais, Conformação de Chapas Metálicas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: conformação de chapas, atrito, taxa de deformação, anisotropia. Mais recentemente, atuando também nas áreas de Engenharia da Mobilidade e Aeronáutica.
