Marília Lopes da Rocha

As an oceanographer I am always seeking for the big picture involving the origin, sources, paths and final destiny of contaminants into the coastal zone associated to the influence of human-made activities. In this way, I have a solid academic background having worked in many different environments (rivers, streams, coastal zone, sea offshore, lakes, harbors, mangroves and wetlands) and sorts of projects related to environmental pollution in Brazil and in Europe. Besides that, I've worked at the industrial sector as part of the team responsible for elaborating Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Quality Monitoring Programs and Coastal Management Conservation. These technical reports aimed to help private companies, government Institutions and Environmental Agencies to fulfill their legal obligations and complying with Brazilian environmental regulations laws. These experiences only highlight my enthusiasm and comfort with new challenges

Oceanógrafa, com formação multidiscplinar e especialidade na avaliação de poluição ambiental na zona costeira e suas interações com fatores físico-químicos e geológicos. Elaboração de diagnósticos de meio físico para processos de licenciamento ambiental, relatórios técnicos de monitoramento de qualidade ambiental e de Planos de Manejo de Unidades de Conservação de Proteção Integral.Na área acadêmica, participei de projetos em âmbito nacional na Universidade Federal do Paraná e europeu como pesquisadora visitante na Universidade de Cadiz (Espanha)/Universidade de Bologna (Itália) (PERSEUS), relacionados à poluição ambiental.
