Gabriel de Biasi Báfero

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technological Chemistry (2017) and a Master's Degree in Chemistry (2020) from the Institute of Chemistry (IQ) of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is currently a PhD student at the same institution, developing his work in the Catalysis and Nanomaterials Group (GCN) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Daniela Zanchet. During his PhD, he did a short-term internship (2023) at the Cardiff Catalysis Institute (CCI), United Kingdom. His area of #8203;#8203;expertise is Inorganic Chemistry, with emphasis on Material Chemistry and Heterogeneous Catalysis. His main interest is the use of the hydrodeoxygenation reaction as a probe for the active sites of metal oxides and other bifunctional catalysts. In addition, he has experience in the synthesis, modification and characterization of porous solids (molecular sieves, zeolites and lamellar silicates), especially in the investigation of their acidic characteristics.

É Bacharel em Química Tecnológica (2017) e Mestre em Química (2020) pelo Instituto de Química (IQ) da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Atualmente é doutorando na mesma instituição, desenvolvendo seu trabalho no Grupo de Catálise e Nanomateriais (GCN) sob orientação da Profa. Dra. Daniela Zanchet. Durante o seu doutorado, fez estágio no Cardiff Catalysis Insitute (CCI), Reino Unido (2023). Sua área de atuação é a Química Inorgânica, com ênfase em Química de Materiais e Catálise Heterogênea. Seu principal interesse é a utilização da reação de hidrodesoxigenação como sonda para os sítios ativos de óxidos metálicos e outros catalisadores bifuncionais. Além disso, possui experiência na síntese, modificação e caracterização de sólidos porosos (peneiras moleculares, zeólitos e silicatos lamelares), especialmente na investigação de suas características ácidas.
