Augusto Aragão de Albuquerque

Augusto Aragão de Albuquerque is an Architect and Urbanist (UFPE, 1987). Doctor in Urban Development (MDU-UFPE, 2006). He is an Associated Professor of the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal). He is an Advisor of doctoral thesis of the Program of Post-Graduation in Architecture and Urbanism of Ufal and Leader of the "Urbe - Estudos da Cidade" (Urban Research Group), whose work has been characterized by an interdisciplinary approach of subjects such as Housing, Urban and Regional Planning, Symbolic Violence and Knowledge Production (in the field of Architecture and Urbanism). From 2010 until now, he has been coordinating a research in Social Technology for Housing and Environmental Risk Reduction. This work has been developed in network with other Brazilian research institutions (UFPel, UFRGS, USP-São Carlos, UFRJ, FioCruz, UFMG and UFCG) and financed by Finep-CNPq (both organizations of the Brazilian federal government under the Ministry of Science of Technology, devoted to funding and promoting science and technology in the country). In the scope of this research, he and his team have been developing studies on socio-environmental networks, flexibility in self-managed housing, housing policy instruments, knowledge production and social technology. From 2014 to 2018, he was director of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Ufal. He was a member of the Award Committee of the Capes de Thesis Award (2015). Since 2014 he has been increasing his researches with the theme of knowledge production. He was a member of the Working Paper of Architecture and Urbanism plus Design of Capes (coordination for the improvement of higher level education personnel). From 2011 to 2013, he was the coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism. In 2009/10, he coordinated the work of the Urban Networks in the South America Research Project in the State of Alagoas, funded by the IPEA (Institute of Applied Economic Research), a federal public foundation linked to the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management. Augusto Aragão de Albuquerque began his teaching career in 1988 and accumulates experience both in public and private institutions teaching courses in the areas of Architecture Theory, Urbanism Theory, History of Architecture and Urbanism, Architectural Project, Urban Project, Regional Planning.

Augusto Aragão de Albuquerque é Arquiteto e Urbanista (UFPE, 1987), Doutor em Desenvolvimento Urbano (MDU-UFPE, 2006). Professor Associado da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Ufal). Orientador de tese do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Ufal. Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa "Urbe - Estudos da Cidade" cujos trabalhos têm se caracterizado pela abordagem interdisciplinar no tratamento de temas como Habitação, Planejamento Urbano e Regional, Violência Simbólica e Produção do Conhecimento (no campo da Arquitetura e do Urbanismo). De 2010 até o momento, vem coordenando a pesquisa "Tecnologias Sociais para a habitação a Habitação e Redução de Riscos Ambientais" no Estado de Alagoas, desenvolvida em rede com outras instituições brasileiras de pesquisa (UFPel, UFRGS, USP-São Carlos, UFRJ, FioCruz, UFMG e UFCG) com financiamento Finep-CNPq. No Âmbito desta pesquisa, vem realizando estudos sobre redes sócio-ambientais, flexibilidade nas habitações autogestionadas, instrumentos de política habitacional, produção de conhecimento e tecnologia social. De 2014 a 2018, foi diretor da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Ufal. Desde 2014, intensificou suas pesquisas com a temática de produção do conhecimento. Em 2015, foi membro da Comissão Julgadora do Prêmio Capes de Teses. Foi membro do Grupo de Trabalho para Elaboração do Documento de Área de Arquitetura e Urbanismo e Design da Capes (2013). De 2011 a 2013, foi Coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Ufal. Em 2009/10 coordenou, em Alagoas, a pesquisa Redes Urbanas na América do Sul, trabalho financiado pelo IPEA - Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada, fundação pública federal vinculada ao Ministério do Planejamento, Desenvolvimento e Gestão. Augusto Aragão de Albuquerque iniciou a carreira docente em 1988 e acumulou experiência em instituições públicas e privadas lecionando disciplinas nas áreas de Teoria da Arquitetura, Teoria do Urbanismo, História da Arquitetura e do Urbanismo, Projeto de Arquitetura, Projeto Urbano, Planejamento Regional.
