Monica Cristina Andrade Weinstein
I have a Ph.D. in the field of Human Communication Disorders and a Master Degree in Speech and Language Pathology both from Universidade Federal de São Paulo ( UNIFESP). From 2013 to 2014, I was a visiting scholar in the Cognition Lab at the Montreal Neurological Institute, MNI at McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. From 2002 to 2009 I was an Adjunct Professor and Head of the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de São Paulo. I have researched and taught in the field of education, learning and learning disabilities. I authored a math skills screening program (Coruja Promat) for Pearson Clinical Brazil in 2016. In 2017, as technical director for Coruja Educação, I developed an adaptive digital assessment and intervention program focusing on personalized learning. In 2019, I developed the Amigavel Mente program for Pearson Education to develop social emotional skills for elementary grade students.From 2011 to 2013 I was President Director of Instituto ABCD, a not for profit organization that does research, development and implementation of education programs for people with learning disabilities. Previously ( 2009-2011) I was technical coordinator of the Learning Disabilities Laboratory, Neurology Department in Faculdade de Medicina do ABC (FMABC, Brazil).From 2014 to February, 2019 I was the technical director at Coruja Educação, a Brazilian social business in the field of student´s progress monitoring. From 2019 to 2022, I was VP for Research and Development team at Alicerce Educação. Form 2023 on, I am a Board Member for Instituto Alicerce, Instituto Inclusive Todos and the Head of Education at Proz Educação.
