Tarcisio Ferreira Maciel

Possui graduação (2002) e mestrado (2004) em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Em 1999 estudou por um ano na Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), em Hamburgo, Alemanha. De 2001 a 2004 desenvolveu atividades de pesquisa no Grupo de Pesquisas em Telecomunicações Sem Fio (GTEL) do Departamento de Engenharia de Teleinformática (DETI) na UFC, atuando nas áreas de comunicações sem fio, gerência de recursos de rádio, e antenas inteligentes. De 2005 a 2008 desenvolveu e concluiu seus estudos de doutorado no Communications Engineering Lab da Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, em Darmstadt, Alemanha nas mesma áreas. Ao longo de seus estudos foi bolsista do CNPq/PIBIC e da CAPES (graduação), da FUNCAP (mestrado) e do DAAD/CAPES (doutorado integral). Em 2009, foi aprovado por concurso público para professor efetivo da UFC - Campus de Sobral, onde atuou como Professor Adjunto I por um ano junto ao Curso de Engenharia da Computação. Em 2010, foi aprovado por concurso público para professor efetivo da UFC - Campus do Pici - Fortaleza. Atualmente é Professor Associado III lotado junto ao Departamento de Engenharia de Teleinformática (DETI), membro permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Teleinformática (PPGETI) e membro do GTEL, onde desenvolve pesquisas ligadas a sistemas de telecomunicações de 4a. e 5a. geração.

Tarcisio Ferreira Maciel received his Bachelor (2002) and Master of Science (2004) degrees from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), in Fortaleza, Brazil. In 1999, he studied for one year at the Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), in Hamburg, Germany. From 2001 to 2004, he developed research activities by the Wireless Telecommunications Research Group (GTEL) of the Teleinformatics Engineering Department of the UFC working in the areas of wireless communications, radio resource management, and smart antennas. From 2005 to 2008, he developed and concluded his Ph.D. studies by the Communications Engineering Lab of the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, in Darmstadt, Germany, in the same areas. He held scholarships from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq)/Program for Scientific Initiation (PIBIC) of the UFC and from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (CAPES) during the undergraduation course, from the Ceara State Foundation for Scientific and Technological Support (FUNCAP) during his M.Sc. course, and from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and CAPES during his Ph.D. studies. In 2009, he was admitted as professor at the UFC - Campus de Sobral, where he worked as Adjoint Professor I for one year by the Computer Engineering course. In 2010, he was admitted as professor at the UFC - Campus do Pici - Fortaleza. Currently, he is Associate Professor III at the Teleinformatics Engineering Department (DETI) at the UFC, permanent member of the Teleinformatics Engineering Post-Graduation Program (PPGET) at the UFC and is a senior researcher by the GTEL, where he develops research activities related to wireless communication systems of 4th and 5th generation.
