Graduada em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), atualmente está cursando o doutorado no programa de Imunologia Básica e Aplicada da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto - Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Durante a graduação trabalhou com pesquisas na área de Biologia Molecular e Genética. Obteve o título de Mestre em Ciências Fisiológicas pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Fisiológicas na Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE), onde trabalhou na área de Fisiologia com enfoque em Inflamação, Dor e Estudo de Produtos Naturais. Realizou mobilidade acadêmica pelo programa Ciências sem Fronteiras (2013/2014) na Universitè du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM), em Montréal, Canadá. Durante sua estadia em Montréal atuou brevemente no campo da Imunologia, realizando estágio de verão na Université de Montréal. Atualmente estuda a neuroimunidade em contexto de dor neuropática, com enfoque na participação da glia na modulação da dor e está realizando doutorado-sanduíche na University of Cincinnati.
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), she is currently pursuing her doctorate in Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo (USP). During her graduation she worked with research in the area of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She obtained a Master's degree in Physiological Sciences from the Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences at the State University of Ceará (UECE), where she worked in the field of Physiology with a focus on Inflammation, Pain and the Study of Natural Products. She is a Science Without Borders alumni (2013/2014), where she studied at the Universitè du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) in Montréal, Canada. During her stay in Montréal, she briefly worked in the field of Immunology, doing a summer internship at the Université de Montréal. She is currently studying neuroimmunology in the context of neuropathic pain, focusing on the participation of glia in pain modulation.
